Meat, Meat and more Meat

You can't turn on the television without a commercial trying to sell you some type of fast cooked meat. You can't even drive to work without seeing some type of ad trying to sell you meat. There are fast food eateries on just about every corner on every street.

The fast food corporations take pride in the fact your child enjoys their ads that showcase their massive meat selection; and always leave your child hungry after watching their ads.

Food corporations have taken great care to make
sure you and your children only see the animal in

the meat form. They don't want you to see the animal alive. If a corporation does show a live animal, they make it seem like the animal would like to die to feed you and your children. In fact they make their ads into cartoon to make you forget that death is such a serious matter.

We have been so commercialized, we don't even give these ads a second thought. A therapist would call this tactic brainwashing,  we can't even see their tactic. This brainwashing is even making us waste more meat every year. We now throw away as much meat as we eat, never giving a second thought to the animal that had to die to feed us.

We seem to have forgotten that the animals we eat were once a living breathing being that was made to help the environment, and is also a vital part of our ecosystem; but now we have caged them all and domesticated them, just to feed the people and their pets.

In fact our pets will be held higher in a caste system, than the animals that are deemed food.

Once we see meat, we no longer see an animal, we see it as no more than a head of lettuce or a piece of bread. We trim the fat away and throw it in the trash or down the garbage disposal.
We grab to much at a BBQ we think nothing about throwing the leftovers away in the trash bin.

We don't even stop to think about the life it use to be. They were mothers and sires that were used to produce babies just to die to feed the two legged animals on earth. We no longer see their family ties in this world.

The corporation want us to forget, so we will no longer empathize with the animals deemed for the food industry.

The corporations can't afford the people to see these animals as anything but food. They would lose their 5 and 6 car garage, they would lose their 7 figure paychecks. They would lose their life of luxury.

A family at one time knew the life that was given to feed their family and they gave thanks for that life that was taken. A family at one time knew that it was considered greedy and a form of gluttony to waste any of the meat that came from the animal that died to feed them.

The more the human population grows, the less the human population cares about the billions of animals that are being raised to feed them. The more the human population grows the less the population cares about the life that is thrown away because their eyes were bigger than their plate.

Millions of animals will die every year, just for their meat to be thrown in the trash can.

If each person would choose to eat meat only once a day, and only one type of animal, they would save the life of millions of animals every year. Each person will save hundreds of dollars every year by cutting back on their meat intake.

What most people do not know and something the meat industry does not want you to know is that when you buy meat you are paying for 12-20% water weight.

The meat industry knows that you would not want to see the blood of the animal so the meat is soaked in water or hosed down so you only see the watery version of their blood. Some smaller slaughter houses, will tube feed water into the stomach of cows and pigs, and then slaughter the animal while they are heavy in water weight.

The more you don't know, the more meat the corporation can feed you. The less you know the less you will feel.

The food industry spends billions of dollars every year making the meat they feed you look good on television. The commercials present the most eye appealing morsels. The meat becomes appealing because they use colored filters over their camera  and video equipment lens. Some will even use fake food that is painted that will be appealing to your eyes and makes your stomach growl.

The more you need and want meat, the more the fast food corporations and the meat industry can put more money into the advertising that will distance your emotions further from the once living animals you are now consuming.

And lets not forget the President, Vice President and CEO of these corporations could always use a 6-8 car garage.

But are people that eat meat the only ones that contribute to the death of the billions of animals killed each year?

Where are all the Vegan fast food restaurants? Where are all the vegan chefs to teach the public how to fix low cost, fast meals? Where are all the Vegan commercials?

In this busy world it seems these three items would help the public wean away from their heavy meat consumption. Giving the public a healthy, quick meal choice would be a wonderful change from all the heavy meat meals they consume sometimes more than three times a day.

It seems criticizing the public that eats meat is no more than words and is not helping to reduce the number of animals killed every year. Yes, Vegan's save the lives of at least three animals everyday they do not eat meat; but were are the wealthy vegans that could make vegan food inexpensive for the lower and medium income families? Where are the Vegan's that will flood the market and billboards and television, with vegan delicacies?

I have had some Vegan's argue that they do not and should not have to compete in the fast food market. But this is not about them, this is about saving the lives of others. Ego's do not save lives.

Some Vegan's have argued that more people need to stop eating meat before Vegan restaurants could be profitable, but Ray Kroc (McDonald) and Colonel Harland David Sanders (KFC) would disagree with that argument. They would say you need a product you can stand behind that feeds the masses on a low budget, and the profits will follow.

So where are all the Morning Star's advertising? Where are all the companies advertising that make meat free products? And why is it more expensive to buy 4 meat free patties than a pound of hamburger?

Grains are cheaper than meat, so it makes a person wonder why a Vegan has to pay twice the amount for half the product if they don't have the time to cook everyday.

The truth is meat maybe more expensive to raise, but grains take up more land to raise them, and humans are consuming more land every year at an alarming rate. To feed the masses companies need to go with quantity and they can feed the same amount of people with a quarter of the land if they harvest animals instead of grain.

If everyone continues to keep meat as their main course, there will be more land that can be used to build more houses and businesses that will generate more income than farming fruits and grains; and animals are not a seasonal commodity, they can be raised all year long.

The meat industry needs you to keep eating meat to maximize their profit, and they need you to see the
animals as an edible commodity so they can grow more of the animals in a smaller space; and they need you to be dependent on meat so you will look the other way when the animals are treated like an inanimate object that can be used up and thrown away without another thought.

The meat industry needs you to see the great food the animal will become and not worry about the process. That is why the industry will make sure you see the finished product everywhere you look, so it becomes more like looking at a loaf of bread or a package of instant cake mix. You don't have to worry about anything else but how you going to pay for that meat. And because of this process we now throw away the uneaten meat without a second thought; it has become a disposable commodity, and the animal has become a disposable life, and all the while our children are watching.....

The wasted life we throw away everyday.

If each person eliminated meat from one meal, they would save the life of one animal everyday.

If every person would participate in Meat-out Mondays, they would save the life of millions of animals in just one day.

If everyone would stop and think about the animal that died to feed them before they took that bite, maybe there would not be so much waste. Eliminating all your waste in one meal, would save an animals life.

If everyone would cut their meat intake in half, and increase their grain and fruit intake, the Government would set aside more farm-able land and pay people to grow more grain and fruits.

If more people used their voice for the animals, the meat industry will listen.

Let's all stop and give thanks to all the animals that give their life to feed us everyday.

Isn't time we paid them back? It takes us so little to show them.......

A church that welcomes animals

The Church of Animal Rights Sanctuary (+TCOARS) is helping low income families keep their pets at home through their difficult times. The church is offering to help the families with their pets vet care needs, food and any other items their animals may need to stay in the home.

The recession has hit some families harder than others and animal shelters have seen a higher intake rate. Most families do not want to give up a pet in hard times, but when faced with feeding the children or the pets, the pets will lose out and find themselves in a shelter looking for a new home if they are lucky.

TCOARS has come up with a way to keep the pets in their home by providing the necessities the family will need to provide their animal with the basic care it will need until the family can get back on their feet.

The church was registered this year in the state of Kansas and already has four families that they are helping. This church not only wants to save the people, they want to save the animals that the people count on everyday.
